New Member "Quick Start" Tutorial
The Federation is comprised of several nations, which are distinguished by age or gender. Each nation is comprised of several tribes. Tribes are the working unit of our program and they typically serve one or two elementary schools. Although it is most common that families join a tribe that corresponds to their child’s school, you are free to join any tribe within the appropriate nation (see the above "Quick Start" link for further information on selecting a tribe). If you need additional help, it is recommended you contact the Federation Outfitter via phone or e-mail.

Registration Information:
- Most new members join an existing tribe, but if you have a group of friends who want to join, you may choose to start your own tribe.
- During the registration process, you will be asked to fill in your Guides or Princess Name; this is your nickname within your tribe. These names typically reference nature or animals (examples include: Running Bear, Dancing Rainbow, Big Arrow, Sparkling Dragonfly, Soaring Eagle, Burning Sunset, etc.).
- Parents and children often enjoy naming each other with names that reflect their personalities. If you need more time to perfect your Name, please enter any name to complete the registration process, and this name can always be changed later.
Program and
Event Fees:
The Yomechas Guides and Princess Program is a
volunteer organization that sponsors many free and paid events throughout the
year. Fees for the program include:
- Annual Federation
Dues ($110 per family + $10 per child)
- Trailblazer Dues ($10 per child)
- Event Fees (these
are “pay as you go”; you only pay for the events you attend).
In addition to paid events, there are many free
events throughout the year such as parade marches, kite flying, and the
Federation Holiday Party!
Enrollment
Deadlines:
Our program coincides with the school year. Basic enrollment runs during August and September. Early August is the ideal time to contact us. However, new members may join the program at any time during the year.
