About the event
Midwest SOARRING Foundation is a Native American advocacy and activist group that informs and advises Yomechas Federation leadership on cultural, environmental, and community issues. Their annual Pow Wow, taking place over Indigenous People’s Day weekend, is a family fun event and opportunity to celebrate life, renew friendships, and experience Native American culture through dance, drumming, art, and storytelling. Highlights include Native American Dancers in Full Regalia (ie. 1PM Grand Entrée), Children’s Crafts (11A-5P), Flintknapping (Arrowhead Making), Cultural Demonstrations, Native Drum Groups, Native Flute Players, Art and Craft Vendors, Canoe Exhibit, Incredible Bats & More, and Food Booths Including Native Food.
